Ramnabami Rally Organized at Islampur Today

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 5th April, 2017: Today on the occasion of Ram Nabami the Vishwa Hindu Parishad organized a procession for commemorating the Ram Nabami at Islampur. At least 2 lakh people participated in the event. Even countless number of women and children participated in the rally. DJs, Dhols etc were brought in for the rally. The procession started from State Farm Colony High School at around 10 am and moved to NH 31 and reached Tin pool area and then Choprajhar Subhashnagar Junior High School ground. After reaching the spot, Gomata pujan and ultimately Prasad distribution was completed at the school ground.
Lastly, the rally was declared closed by the Procession Committee Secretary Mr. Goutam Sarkar and President Mr. Gour Chandra Talapatra. Interestingly, the MLA and Municipality chairman Mr. Kanhaiyalal Agarwal was seen distributing water bottles to the Rally participants along with Municipal Councillor Mr. Hazi Muzaffar Hussain, Zilla Parishad member Mr. Javed Akhtar and Islampur Block President Mr. Zakir Hussain. The SDPO of Islampur Mr. Kumar Bhushan Sing told TNI that no untoward incidents are reported for the rally.
